This machine plays standard optical soundtrack films, although it needs reverse image film ( original soundies) to display correctly; with conventional nonreversed image, the pictures will be backwards, noticeable when there are titles and lettering.
The large endless reel holds 8 or 9 soundies so you can see multiple films without changing the reel. Original soundies films are still available and can be spliced together to fit on a single reel. Alternatively, there are several reproduction reels available for this machine that have 8 soundies on the one large reel.
The Panoram that is fully operational and restored is an extremely hard to find.
