Honor Boxcirca 1700, brass, first used in English travern as a snuff or tobacco dispenser. The patron would insert a coin, push the plunger, and the lid would pop open. Some of these early vendors made thier way to the American colonists and used here in America.Highly desirable, very hard to find, made of brass. Works with nickels, quarters and half dollars, as well as English half pennies. Fully operational, with working lock & key. Price: $1750 plus shipping
